What do I wear to class?

Wear comfy clothing that doesn’t restrict movement. We usually wear leggings and a tank or shirt/t-shirt. A hip belt is fun to wear if you have one but not necessary. We also have hip belts at all classes for you to use and/or purchase. You may dance barefoot or with supportive footwear, whichever works best for your body.

What age, size, gender do I need to be?

Any! We welcome all adults above 18 years old regardless of age, size or gender. Bellydance is for EVERY age and EVERY body. You will see dancers of all ages, shapes and sizes at The BellySpot.

Covid 19

Classes held at Southeast Community College follow the SCC guidelines. Currently masks are not required but distance is encouraged.

Classes held at our studio - masks are not required at this time but is subject to change depending on Lincoln’s’ Covid numbers. Classes are in person and on Zoom for your convenience.

At both places, you may wear a mask at any time if you are more comfortable doing so.

I’ve danced before so where do I start?

Please reach out to Kirsten or Nysa to discuss placement or sign up for our 101 class. Basics is always a great place to begin.

Studio info

The BellySpot is in the basement so stairs are required. The studio holds a total of 6 people so space is limited. Street parking only.

Classes are in-person and on Zoom for your convenience.

Two dogs and 1 cat are in the house but are not allowed in the studio - just to let you know in case you have allergy issues.

Classes & lessons outside the norm

So you have 5 of you who want to hold a class together? We can do that! Whether it’s a single night of fun for a bachelorette party or a 4 week series, we can accommodate special classes. Please reach out to us any time.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available from our 3 instructors on a rotating basis and need to be set up through The BellySpot. Please contact us for pricing and availability.

Hiring Information
